THE VERDICT
Suppose you had broken the law and were under the sentence of death.
Unknown to you, someone turns himself in and dies in your place, paying the penalty for your crimes in full.
Later, you find out what this person has done on your behalf. Because of this, you are told you will be set free. The only condition is that you accept the offer.
What would you do?
Believe it or not, most reject the very same offer every day!
They would rather go into court, telling of all their "good" deeds and of how they have always "tried" to do what was right. They say they are sure this will be acceptable as it was the best they could do.
Let's be realistic!
When you come before the Judge, you will have to explain why you have rejected the blood sacrifice of the Judge's own Son! "and without shedding of blood is no remission" Hebrews 9:22
Then you will have to face the facts:
1. You have broken the law. Romans 3:23
2. The sentence is death. Romans 6:23
3. His Son paid the price for you. Hebrews 10:14
4. This YOU rejected. Hebrews 10:26-27
5. The verdict is GUILTY. Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire... Matthew 25:46
The GOOD NEWS is that you can be found NOT GUILTY! All you have to do is accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your saviour. When you do this you have God's word (the bible) that you are saved. "For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". Romans 10:13
This is just one of the many scriptures that prove anyone who trusts in God and His way of salvation will be saved.
Believe it or not you can have eternal life RIGHT NOW! "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath (has) everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; (judgment) but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24)
Now you can begin to understand why Christians are always heard saying, "PRAISE THE LORD"
NOTE: This is a gospel tract I wrote when I was first saved, over 25 years ago. The message it contains is still valid, please don't allow another second to pass before you ask Jesus into your heart, to forgive your sins and make you a "new creation" in- Christ.
The Lord's MERCY is limitless, but it can only be applied to those who SEEK it. The BLOOD of Jesus will either save you, or be used as EVIDENCE against you. (if you REJECT it) Eternity, is just a heartbeat away, please make peace with God while you still are able to do so.
