TIPS FOR PARENTS & GUARDIANS
* Children need to be taught to respect and obey parental, and other authority figures at an early age. They also need to understand the "equality" of all human beings, does not make all human beings equal in authority.
* A family with a christian mom and dad who are married to each other, is the best place for children to be raised. Anything less, is a negative factor to some degree in the development of children.
* Parents and family members who over eat, smoke, abuse alcohol, and other chemical crutches (including prescription drugs), are poor role models for children. As children grow in such an environment, they will begin to assume the habits of those they reside with.
* Discipline, should be consistent and effective when offenses occur. Punishment should be structured to fit the crime, and corporal punishment should be used for serious offenses such as lying, disrespect, and when children harm others.
* Children should attend church with their parents, and they should be educated in a christian school whenever possible. Children need God in the home, church, and school. If God is only honored one day per week, He will not have much influence over the family unit.
* Parents, and other family members, should respect the children enough to speak properly, and not use foul or abusive language under any circumstances. They should praise the children who do well, and speak words of kindness and love at every opportunity.
* Children should be protected from impure media, and from those who cannot respect the integrity of the family unit and God Himself. Anyone who disregards the morality and safety of our youth, should not have access to kids at any time.
* Parents should pray for the grace to help live a moral and wholesome lifestyle, and be an example of righteousness for all to see. God should not have just a place in the family, he should have FIRST PLACE in it
* Fathers, need to assume the second in-command position, and mothers should assume the third in-command place as directed by the holy scriptures. Until our marriages begin to be established in accordance with God's law, divorce will become a greater factor in the destruction of the family unit.
NONE of these concepts are new ideas, or alien to the biblical record. Until they begin to be practiced and observed on a large scale basis, decline will continue throughout our world. We have no EXCUSE, I pity the children of those who become parents, and have been raised in our humanist and God-less society...
