How should we feel about taxes, and how much is Caesar really due? Look at what Jesus said, concerning this subject:
LUKE CHAPTER 22:22-25
22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt
ye me?
24 Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They
answered and said, Caesar's.
25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things
which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.
Now let's look and see what Jesus DID NOT say:
{1} The Lord said to give the government (Caesar) what was due him, not MOST of what you earn. Common sense dictates that a tax agency is due only a small portion of your income, NOT great big chunks of your hard earned money. (that my friend, is theft) The symbol used was a PENNY, not THOUSAND DOLLAR bills!
{2} He also said to render unto God what is due Him. Now think again fellow citizen, who should get the MOST? Caesar or God? If you are a believer in paying TITHES, the commandment was to give the FIRST TENTH. Since most peoples income is received as NET income, Uncle Sam is ROBBING God of His cut! (If God ever audits the IRS, as they will surly fail His accountability test)
EVERYONE should, and EVERYONE does, pay taxes in one form or another. Taxes are not the problem. The problem is the size of the tax bite, and the disregard of constitutional provisions regarding taxes.
The people involved in the Boston Tea Party were considered as criminals by the government, but now they are looked upon as HEROS who fought against tyranny. Those who strive to correct our present day tyranny, will also suffer for their willingness to take a stand for what is fair and right.
I believe people who love God and country would give 100% of what they have, if it was really necessary. The sad truth is that our money is being stolen, wasted, and given away to our enemies. This has got to STOP.
Nothing endures, without the continued support of the American
people. Like those who pay the mob protection money, we have
allowed our own government to use fear and brute force to pry open
our pocket books. It is the congress, and the tax agencies, who
have become REBELS against law and order. Our lawmakers, our
judges, and our politicians spit upon our constitution, and no one
dares to protest. Taxes are a necessary part of life, but not
robbery, and financial rape by those hiding behind a badge...
