I am not an avid movie fan, but I do occasionally watch a movie on television. I avoid almost all of the major network productions, as to refer to them as "mere trash" would elevate their true worth. In short, "Hollywood" and the networks have managed to transform entertainment into a form of "legalized" pornography.
I believe there is a way to limit some of the harm these movies and programs cause, by making the producers of such programs legally liable for the damages they have caused our youth. Let me explain:
There are many movies and programs which portray children as being directly or indirectly involved in sexual activity. How can a child "act" as if he or she is being raped, or involved in some form of sex act, unless they have been instructed as to what sex is all about?
I saw a portion of a major motion picture where a mother, daughter, and son, were being raped by convicts who broke into their home. A pre-teen aged boy was held against a table with his pants pulled down, while an adult male violated him. The boy was a good actor, as he knew "exactly" how to portray such an occurrence. My question is, would not such a "simulation" be a crime against a child?
If any of us told our children about various sex acts, and then asked them to "play" like the real thing was actually happening to them, we would all deserve long prison terms in jail. This being the case, how can the networks and "Hollywood" get away with such activity?
The truth is, this is a terrible form of child abuse. Any child who has been trained to simulate sexual activity has been "awakened" sexually to some degree. This perversion is tolerated, because of the "elite" community of media moguls and movie stars who engage in such activity. I am sure such conduct violates many state and federal laws, enacted to protect children in America.
I am asking for attorneys, groups of concerned citizens, and other child protection advocates, to file "class action" suits and criminal charges against these low-life and immoral individuals. Charges could be filed at the local, state, and federal levels, since this filth is transmitted world-wide into private homes.
This is not a first amendment issue, it is child abuse plain and simple. If we do nothing to stop such abuse, we are as guilty as those who violate the innocence of little babies...
